The Alien Within: 18 – Good Days & Spasms
Today has been a good day!
Well, in terms of feeling ‘normal’, whatever normal is, it has been a good day.
Energy levels appear to have stopped falling and are even improving daily, as is my appetite. I ate a hearty meal this evening and all without the accompanying discomfort of recent events.
Although, I had to drive out today and on my return journey, I did notice a strange sensation in my right hand when I tried to adjust my grip on the steering wheel. My hand sort of didn’t want to let go, voluntarily! I actually had to concentrate to release it and then wiggle it about a bit until it felt right. This happened once more a little further on in the journey, but has been fine since.
Then, this evening, a similar feeling occurred in my left leg, around calf and ankle area – although it was not holding a steering wheel.
My Key Worker telephoned earlier this evening, to check I was aware of the plan for the next cycle. I am. We discussed things generally and I did raise the strange occurrence of the disobedient right hand. She asked if my finger tips still feel tingly/borderline numb? They do. She suggested I raise these events, among others, when I attend my pre-cycle consultation on Thursday. We will!
Tomorrow is a busier day – the Landy goes in for a service and MOT first thing, so Jilly will be dragging herself over with me to bring me back. I will then drop her off at work later in the morning, before popping over to Milton Keynes to discuss its replacement. Then, it is back home to walk Benson in good time to drop Jill’s car back at her place of work and wander over to pick mine up from the Truck Shop.
Today was a good day, tomorrow will be even better…
