The Alien Within: 53 – Hump Day, Slump Week…
Extended effects…
I had rather hoped that the week’s humpday, Wednesday, was going to be the turning point for this week’s slump, unfortunately not so.
Thinking logically though, if it can take six months to a year to clear the effects of an entire session of Chemotherapy from one’s body, it is somewhat illogical to expect a cycle’s worth to disappear in just a few days.
One must never give up hope!
I am thinking I need an iPad Pro with the new Apple Pencil – I wonder if it can also be used as a typing tool, as well as a drawing implement?
My fingers have not yet recovered enough to continue much beyond this point, it is rather annoyingly painful to type, even this far. Apparently it is the Vincristine element of my Chemo Pump week that is responsible. I have been advised to discuss this with my consultant at next Thursday’s session, when she may adjust the volume of the guilty drug.
I have much more to add, but simply cannot continue and do so today, sorry people.
Tomorrow, if this continues, I may have to re-think how my daily journal can best be achieved…
NEXT: Cycle 3 – Day 12
What about a stylus? You can tap with it on an iPhone or iPad keyboard… it might be a bit slower but I think it would work. Hugs dear Rog!!
So sorry to hear of the continued discomfort in your fingers! It’s those little things that we take so for granted. Hope things sort themselves as quickly as possible. Take care, my friend.
Thanks for keeping up with the journal despite the discomfort Rog. Did you try the dictation capabilities of iOS yet ?
You should get an iPad Pro … regardless ! 🙂
p.s. I wonder if that bean bag doodah Jilly got would make typing less excruciating if you used it as a heated wrist rest.
What you really need is the loving touch of a “highly durable custom-woven fabric that’s laser ablated to form the shape of each key” that only comes with an iPad Pro smart keyboard 🙂
LOL!!
